New Patient One® Flora Maintenance Formula Available

Farmingdale, New York  – MediNutritionals Research LLC announced the availability of Patient One’s new Flora Maintenance formula. 

 

“Our tried and true Flora Maintenance continues to be a multi-strain, identity confirmed probiotic that includes a prebiotic for added effectiveness,” explained Patient One President Gerard McIntee.  “The enhanced formula now supplies 25 billion live bacteria per serving at encapsulation—almost double the organisms in the prior formula--for 15 billion CFU at expiration based on proper storage.” McIntee added, “Taking into account patient sensitivities, our probiotics are cultured in a vegetable-based media and are dairy-free and hypoallergenic.”

 

The HardiStrain™ standardized bacteria cultures in Flora Maintenance are produced with a proprietary system that promotes increased viability over an extended shelf life. Further, the freeze-dried probiotic cultures are provided in an acid-resistant, delayed release capsule to survive harsh stomach acids for optimal delivery to the intestinal tract where the organisms can colonize and replicate.

Ten compatible, scientifically supported strains (7 found in the small intestine and 3 found in the large intestine) are combined with fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS), a prebiotic. Patient One’s proprietary probiotic blend contains significant concentrations of L. acidophilus, L. casei and L. rhamnosus, three of the most well-documented Lactobacillus strains. As strain identity is essential to link a culture to a specific health effect, the strains in the formula are genetically identified using a sophisticated RiboPrinter® microbial characterization system.
